Vision: To generate physical, spiritual, academic, social and cultural values among the students and to make them self-reliant through self help to be responsible citizen of the world.

Mission: To impart higher education with multi faceted aspects, excelling the human resources in broader perspectives of national and global context.

While following the vision and mission of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, the college has set its own vision and mission for the upliftment of socially backward students. The drought prone area of Savlaj and nearby villages had mostly cut off the generations from specific identity. Based on the need of this location, the college sets its vision to generate physical, spiritual, academic, social and cultural values among the aspirants. It also upholds the vision to make the students self-reliant through self help so that the young generation will be shaped as responsible citizen of the world. Besides, the objectives are to provide higher educational opportunities, especially to the lower classes, education to their doors, to generate physically, spiritually and academically sound motivated graduates, to develop overall personality of the students and to impart education through self-help and dignity of labour.

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all in the Rayat Shikshan Sanstha’s Shri. Raosaheb Ramrao Patil Mahavidyalaya, Savlaj, Tal. Tasgaon, Dist. Sangli, Maharashtra.

Padmbhushan Dr. Karmveer Bhaurao Patil founded Rayat Shikshan sanstha in 1919. Rayat Shikshan Sanstha is one of the leading educational institutions, imparting quality education to the all the sections of the society. Since its inception in 1991 Shri. Raosaheb Ramrao Patil Mahavidyalaya has continued the legacy of the Sanstha for the last 25 years and has imparted quality education to the needy and deprived people of the society.

It is Art and Science streams Coeducation College offering undergraduate programme to B.A and B.Sc. It is Grant-in-aid College and affiliated to Shivaji University Kolhapur. The college offers five degree subjects at special level- Marathi, Hindi, Geography, English and Chemistry. History, Psychology, Economics and Political Science as well as Botany, Zoology, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics are optional subjects up to B.A-II and B. Sc.-II. The Curriculum structure and semester examination pattern is implemented as per university rules. It was reaccredited by NAAC in March 2019 and has obtained CGPA of 2.72 on seven point scale at B+ grade.

The dedicated faculties of the Institute always strive hard for the overall accretion of the students.
